蛍光灯を買いに行って、売り場で「あれ、サイズ何だったっけ…」と思うことが良くあります。いやあ実際には主要なサイズは3-4種類らしいんですけど（580mm/1198mm/2367mmあたり）、なんか他にもサイズ有りそうな気がしてオロオロしてしまうのですね。僕だけかも知れませんけど。
上の画像は、h_designさんがデザインしたコンセプトモデルで、サイズを調整できる蛍光灯。

これなら様々なサイズに対応できるし、それに加えてガラスではないから安全。
あー確かに「割れやすい」ってのも蛍光灯の取り回しが面倒くさい理由でもありますねぇ。なんでいまだに進歩しないのか良く分かりませんけど（明るさとかコストとかの問題なのかな）、これだったらそういう問題も解決できそうです。
商品化されないかなぁ…
